![]() Aoba definitely has the ROF artificially increased, and that might skew the comparison. Well i must say i love Myoko, but then again i loved Aoba as well. What do you guys think? Edited Decemby Pajosaurus ![]() Mogami, Atago, modern BBs, Kiev (shudder.) etc), I never feel as much in control of the battle as in Aoba. When you couple all the above with significantly stronger opponents Myoko routinely faces (e.g. In Aoba I was citadeling left and right in Myoko not so much, primarily due to the shell velocity. Aoba's faster shells were much more precise because they left the enemy less time to get out of way. most importantly, in my view, Myoko seems to have noticeably lower shell velocity (if someone knows the exact numbers, I'd appreciate it) which results in me having problems landing hits at longer ranges or even mid-ranges vs DDs, especially when they are maneuvering.Taken together with bad firing arcs and the need to constantly maneuver to bring all guns to bear, it starts to have a noticeable detrimental effect. Myoko has significantly worse turret traverse than Aoba.Myoko has very bad firing arcs on 2 of its 5 turrets which, when faced with a good opponent who forces me to angle sharply, drastically reduces its max rpm potential, barely rising above Aoba.Myoko fires 4.3 rpm vs Aoba's 5.5 rpm which gives us the theoretical maximum of 43 rounds a minute vs Aoba's 33.Superb, right? Well, until we factor in the following: On paper, it looks great: 10x203mm vs Aoba's 6. True, it has better armor (though it's still one huge citadel), but the firepower is my main problem with the ship. But after the greatness that is the cruiser-killer Aoba, Myoko simply feels inadequate. First, a disclaimer: I'm not saying Myoko is a bad ship, it's perfectly fine, and from what I'm hearing, better than German and US Tier 7 cruisers.
